This course, conducted jointly by the TAIK and TSE, offers an investigation to a contemporary condition for students from the respective schools where big projects surface and new modes of working arise.
The objectives are to challenge multidisciplinary joint ventures and to seek new potential through creative teamwork. The course will approach the topics by project-based and process orientated work, where observations, research and analysis merge into a radically new concept. The collective creativity is pushed beyond disciplinary silos to the emerging New Practice.
Each team will have students from both schools to facilitate a deeply collaborative, embedded and entrepreneurial process. Functional business economics skills employed in the course are marketing, strategy development, project management, cross-cultural team management and business planning. Web-based tools are employed extensively for distance collaboration between Turku- and Helsinki-based students.
