All new to blogging? Here’s a jumpstart to the most common things you should know. Please feel free to try stuff also own your own!

This is the main page (wordpress.com). Login by submitting your username & password to the upper-left corner.
This is the view after you have logged in. From My Account you can for instance edit your profile and log out. Choose the New Practice blog from the upper left corner.
This is the dashboard view. Here you can either write new blog posts, manage your previous posts or change the design.
This is the posting view. Give your post a title, then write (WordPress auto-saves the draft). The writing options resemble those of MS Word.
- To make a link, highligh the text and choose the 10th icon from left (the chain symbol).
- To attach a picture, choose the first icon from the upper row (sort of a filled square).
- To attach a file (such as ppt, pdf) choose from the same row the fourth symbol.
You can give your post tags to describe them, if you wish. It might be a good idea to tag for instance all the deliverables with a specific tag. The rest of the options can be left as they are.
To publish the post, click the Publish button on the right.
This is the Manage view. Here you can edit your previous posts or view your drafts. You can manage also the different pages. For instance if you want to add some presentations to the Documents (pw-protected), go to the Pages and proceed as described earlier.
Finally, commenting. You can comment by clicking the No comment / X comments link. You don’t need to login! For now, there is no moderation in the comments, so everything should appear instantly, but if there will be problems with spam, we’ll have to reconsider.
